Civil Contingencies
Health & Social Care Moray works with our partners as part of the Grampian Local Resilience Partnership (Grampian LRP) to plan for and respond to emergencies.
Our work is guided by the Civil Contingencies Act 2004 and the Contingency Planning (Scotland) Regulations 2005 (amended 2013). We are a Category 1 responder and are one of the principal organisations with a role to play in responding to an emergency.
Our emergency preparation, response and recovery planning is focuses on the effects of events rather than their causes and is undertaken as an extension of normal day to day activities.
We work with partners in situations where the Moray Care for People Plan may require to be activated. The plan ensures effective arrangements are in place to respond to the needs of people affected by significant or disruptive incidents.
