Health & Social Care Moray is working with partners to develop the next strategy to support Unpaid Carers in Moray.
We began last year by holding discussion groups and running a survey. The Strategy Development Group would like to thank everyone who gave their time to share their lived experience as an unpaid carer in Moray in the first stage of the engagement.
From discussions with carers and their responses to the earlier survey, we have identified five top level themes to focus on -
- Carers are supported by carer-aware communities
- Carers have access to information, advice and support
- Carers are supported to have a life alongside caring
- Carers are valued and empowered
- Carers are supported in education and the workplace
We now want to ask carers the following questions:
- Are these five themes the right ones for Moray?
- Are there any others which should be included?
- What are the top 3 improvement actions we need to work on under each theme?
- If you suggested any other themes, what are the top 3 improvement actions we need to work on?
- How will we know if the strategy and improvement actions are making a difference?
- Is there anything else we need to consider?
Get involved - have your say and make change happen
